I overheard two mothers talk about the difficulties of teaching math to their children. They mentioned that fractions are especially hard.
That reminded me of play dough. My children loved playing with the stuff. I gave them little rolling pins and cookie cutters, and they could stay busy for hours.
Keeping play dough in your school drawer so you can quickly roll out a "pizza" and cut it into fractions is a GREAT way to help your children understand the fractions on their math worksheets.
